Long established as Ireland’s leading contemporary music ensemble, Crash Ensemble is celebrated for its adventurous repertoire, commissioning work from leading international composers and performing with a diverse array of contemporary stars. For this typically adventurous concert, Crash teams up with progressive folk star Sam Amidon for a diverse programme including concert premieres of works by Nico Muhly and Jennifer Walshe, together with Amidon’s own beautifully crafted songs, specially arranged for Crash Ensemble by Muhly. With fellow members of Bedroom Community (Liam Byrne, James McVinnie and Nadia Sirota) dropping by to add their own distinctive instrumentation, this will be a very special concert weaving classic Americana with cutting-edge sounds.
